Bunclody Area Youth Supports also known as BAYS is a FDYS Youth Service funded by UBU Your Place Your Space Funding scheme. UBU offers young people a place and space in their local community.
Our vision is for all young people to be enabled to realise their maximum potential, by respecting their rights and hearing their voices, while protecting and supporting them as they transition from childhood to adulthood.
Young people are supported by qualified and experienced Youth Workers who work alongside young people to enable them reach their full potential.
Our mission is to provide out-of-school supports to young people in Bunclody and surrounding areas to enable them to overcome adverse circumstances and achieve their full potential by improving their personal and social development skills.

BAYS is for young people in the Bunclody area aged 10 to 24 years. In particular, we support young people who might be feeling isolated, marginalised and individuals who might be experiencing a difficult time in their lives and need support. BAYS Provides different types of Services:
The overall aim of these activities is to give young people a place to build on their own individual strengths.
The BAYS project was established in November 2021. BAYS stands for Bunclody Area Youth Supports. This project is UBU funded and is open to young people between 10 and 20 years in Bunclody and surrounding areas.
There are 4 targets within this divide by age with 10 to 14 and 15 to 20 year olds and rural or urban setting.
The Young Girls group every Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:00pm
We would usually have 15-20 young Traveller girls ages range from 12-16 years. We have the sisters from our parish coming to help out every Tuesday. We create a safe and empowering environment for our young girls. We promote healthy eating and life skills. We also do a lot of fun activities such as arts and crafts, drama, sewing, knitting, storytelling, music and much more!
