FDYS provide a Youth Counselling service for young people who may be  experiencing

problems. Whether it’s health concerns or issues with parents or people at school. talking to a

Counsellor in a supportive and non-judgmental environment can help

You can be referred by a teacher, social worker, or you can ask to see a counsellor yourself –

what you say is confidential, unless the counsellor is worried for your safety.

Counselling lets you talk about how you feel, separate from school and home life and can

help you get back to enjoying life.

Many of our clients tell us that they feel happier after they see a counsellor and are better able

to deal with their problems. In some cases, the counsellor helped them to concentrate better at

school or college, or get on better with their friends and family.
