The Wexford Children and Young People’s Services Committee (CYPSC) are planning an event that aims to provide young people in County Wexford with an opportunity to express their views on the topics that matter to them. The event will be called ‘Teen Talks’ (although young adults are welcome to contribute) and will be taking place in FDYS, Island Road, Enniscorthy on Thursday 10th May.
We are currently looking for young people who are interested in being involved. We will be having our first evening of auditions on Thursday 22nd March and we are encouraging anyone who would like to speak on the night to come along.
To take part in the auditions, young people are asked to prepare a 3-5 minute talk about a topic of their choice. This is a unique opportunity to take to the stage and have your voice heard by an audience of peers, service providers and influential figures in the community. Tell us what you enjoy, what supports you value. Tell us what you would like to change and how you think it should be. Choose a theme that you are passionate about. Something inspiring, engaging, funny or innovative. A message of hope or a chance to share your dreams…
Support will be given to help develop ideas and improve public speaking skills so don’t worry if your talk is not the finished product. We want to hear your ideas. Don’t miss this opportunity to have your say!!!
