
World Mental Health Day 10th October is a day for global mental health education and awareness. The overall objective is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world.
FDYS Wexford are hosting a range of activities including:
‘High Five for Happiness’ – throughout the week, each time we pass someone we high five and say something positive.
‘Gratitude Graffiti Walkway’ – entrance walkway into FDYS will have a mock graffiti wall whereby anyone can write a positive word or statement around mental health.
‘Tree of Positivity’ – available throughout the week for people to add a leaf of positivity for inclusion on the tree.
‘Chill Out Zone’ – the large training room will be converted into a peaceful haven for everyone to access for some chill out time in a relaxing calm space throughout the week.
Activities in the ‘Chill Out Zone’ will include ‘what can I do about my stress’ activity, balloon release signifying letting go of worries and stressors.
‘Mental Health Quiz’ – young people are given an opportunity to test their knowledge on mental health.
