Let’s Talk About Drugs” National Youth Media Awards Competition 2018

The Ana Liffey Drug Project are inviting young people aged 12-25 to enter the annual “Let’s Talk About Drugs” National Youth Media Awards Competition.

The competition, in its fifth year, aims to get young people thinking about drugs and alcohol issues and find creative ways to talk about them.

To enter, participants need to create a piece of original content, which can be a short video or animation, an audio podcast, a news article or a poster.

Participants can enter as an individual or as a group.

There are four age categories with different themes.

For ages 12-14 and 15-17 the themes are:

  • Theme 1: Talk about – cannabis and the risks
  • Theme 2: Talk about – underage drinking and the risks

For ages 18 -21 and 22-15 the themes are:

  • Theme 1: Club drugs – what are the risks?
  • Theme 2: Performance and Image enhancing drugs – what are the risks?

Each winner from the four age categories will receive €250 in One4All vouchers. The overall winners of the 12-17 and 18-25 age groups will each receive vouchers to the value of €1,000.
