Every year, the International 16 Days of Action campaign provides an important opportunity to raise awareness of domestic violence and call for changes at international, national and local level to make women and children safe from abuse.
In Ireland, over 100 groups and individuals organise local and national events and actions to show solidarity with and support to women and children experiencing domestic violence in our communities.
Our campaign will put the issue of femicide and domestic violence on the agenda, bring to light women and children’s experience of domestic violence and highlight what needs to change to increase safety and protection from abuse. The campaign will also bring survivors’ voices to the fore in our awareness raising activities and challenge the victim blaming culture that surrounds domestic violence
We need your help to ChangetheConversation. During the 16 Days of Action help us build better awareness and understanding of women’s and children’s experiences of domestic violence by supporting the campaign in your community and online.
